Or opt for other noodles such as yee mee or other dry types of noodles. If you prefer kuey teow or yellow noodles, it is advisable to blanch them with hot water to clean and remove oil first. Then cook them together with all other ingredients because they cook quickly. This Nissin noodles recipe works well for other noodles generally.
This Nissin noodles recipe utilises the sweetness of onions and slight saltiness from light soya sauce and ham. Therefore no other seasoning is required and the soup tastes so good! If you’re lazy to prepare the onion, just clean it – chuck it into saucepan and boil for few minutes before adding Nissin noodles and other ingredients.
This Nissin noodles recipe works well with luncheon meat and hot dogs to replace ham. Add everything if you like to and leave out light soya sauce – it is no longer necessary since these meat items contributes to the saltiness in the soup. You can add egg too, just like how you would normally cook Maggi noodles but without the “instant” seasoning.Balance the nutrition with some vegetables such as cabbage, lettuce or choy sum.
