Synopsis
“The Time Traveler’s Wife” is based on the best-selling book about a love that transcends time. Clare (Rachel McAdams) has been in love with Henry (Eric Bana) her entire life. She believes they are destined to be together, even though she never knows when they will be separated: Henry is a time traveler—cursed with a rare genetic anomaly that causes him to live his life on a shifting timeline, skipping back and forth through his lifespan with no control. Despite the fact that Henry’s travels force them apart with no warning, Clare desperately tries to build a life with her one true love.

Review
The movie is a mix between superpower & love drama, leaning much more to the latter. While the idea of having the unique ability to travel between time sounds nice, but not being able to control it makes this movie appeal more to those who are looking forward to a love drama, and not so much the science fiction movie goers.

The movie does okay in bringing out the deep love of the couple, and has a fair share of sobbing moments. However, the movie does not seem to stir that much emotions as a romantic drama one would expect.

Overall, this movie is a pleasant & a decent watch for a lazy day, especially for couples. And it will appeal to the fairer sex who likes a bit of romance and some eye candy.
