When it comes to the King Of Pop, all of us have our own views. We seem to only know Michael too well from what we get from the media.

Well, here’s one more. But rather than a controversy, this movie is most likely to be the best thing from Michael ever since Thriller.

Many must be wondering how was Michael just days before he passed away. Was he frail looking? And did he really have the energy? Also, the same question asked over and over again – was he really weird like he is supposedly known for?

Well this movie answers all of that. And a bit more.

As the movie is a behind the scenes to the whole rehearsal, it shows MJ very much as himself. Firstly at 50, plus all the rumour about his health, he sure looks alrite here.

Michael’s behavior was  also shown here – coming off witty and caring, praising as much as he could. But that doesn’t stop Micheal from being the perfectionist. Michael is seen wanting the very best – from the right dancers to the right pitch. Everything must come to perfection – hence the gruelling rehearsal.

Then there are the many short music videos created specially for the concert & shown on the movie. It was really as if the show that Michael intended was for a new album altogether. He sure set his standards – high. Some say, a little too high & too much for a 50 year old. Well, seeing what Michael has to go through, it’s a wonder why he took such big risks for his health.

Overall the movie is a good watch – a must for fans and those curious. Even non fans might become one. For this movie goes to show that Michael is one talented artiste who knows his stuff and even to the days before his passing… and that despite a decade of non performing, he still has what it takes that made him the pop star he was.

The only note – be prepared that you are watching like a full concert, minus being able to stand up and dance to MJ hits.

Ratings: 9.5/10
